Kingsthorpe Grove Primary School, Northampton, UK

A historically significant building built circa 1900.  The project involved new build works to expand the primary school, creation of a new children’s centre, and the expansion of the DSP (Designatied Special Provision) unit for students with autism.  Additionally there was internal remodelling, renovations, and general repairs.

The new link buidling and main entry needed to be sympathetic with the 19th century building yet be of  its time in the 21st century.  Expressed structural steel and planar glazing are carefully proportioned to blend with the geometry of the original Victorian building.
